Maduka University Bags 100% Full NUC Accreditation for All Seven Programmes

Maduka University, Ekwegbe-Nsukka, has achieved a landmark academic milestone after the National Universities Commission (NUC) awarded Full Accreditation Status to all seven programmes presented for evaluation, marking a rare 100% success rate for the institution.

The accreditation exercise, conducted by the NUC between October and December 2025, assessed the university’s Accounting, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Economics, and International Relations programmes. At the conclusion of the exercise, every single programme scaled through with Full Accreditation — none received Interim or Denied status, a feat that places the institution among the top-performing universities in the most recent accreditation cycle.

Results released by the NUC showed the university’s programmes scoring between 84.8% and 97.0%, comfortably surpassing the minimum benchmark required for Full Accreditation. With this outcome, all seven programmes now hold accreditation status valid through 2030, reaffirming Maduka University’s sustained compliance with national quality assurance standards.

In their assessment, the accreditation panels commended the university for a number of institutional strengths, including a strong academic curriculum, full compliance with the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards (BMAS/CCMAS), adequate library and learning resources, a functional teaching and learning environment, and an overall institutional capacity to deliver quality university education.

Speaking on the significance of the achievement, university stakeholders described it as a reaffirmation of Maduka University’s long-standing commitment to academic excellence and regulatory compliance. The outcome effectively assures students, parents, employers, and other stakeholders that the university’s academic offerings meet nationally approved standards — positioning the institution for continued growth and relevance within Nigeria’s higher education landscape.

With this result, Maduka University joins the league of Nigerian private universities recording full compliance across all assessed programmes, further strengthening its academic reputation within Enugu State and beyond.
